About us

American Fire Co specializes in repurposing firehose into unique household goods that everyone will like. American Fire Co began when I, Kayla, was sent to a fire surplus auction by my then boyfriend (now husband!) Michael. Long story short, we ended up with LOTS of hose and we needed to figure out what to make with all of it and that's what we've been up to since 2016. 

Our Priorities

 

Never dye the hose. The color and condition we receive the hose in is reflected in the finished product. This makes every item one of a kind. We believe you can't get anything better than the character of retired hose. 

Everything is handmade. We feel it is so important that everything we make is handmade. Our four hands in our shop do everything from start to finish. You are truly supporting a small business.

Give back. We believe our business has a greater purpose, we are a part of the fire community and primarily support two charities that are close to our hearts. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and 9/11 related charities receive a portion of our sales.
